An antique Russian silver salt dish in the form of a small footed bowl.
Comes with a pair of identical spoons / scoop servers, which can be used for salt or caviar.
The dish made in Moscow, Russia, 1866.
One of the spoons is marked for 1861.
the salt dish: 1 1/2 inches tall; Top is 3 inches in diameter; Foot is 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
The spoons: a little over 3 inches long.
Together weigh 19grams.
The dish stands on a round, fluted foot, narrowing at the neck.
The bowl is fluted in the opposite direction, with ribs that form part of the interest of the inside, which is also gilded.
The border is scalloped with scrolls curving to flowers where the border is nipped.
Very delicate and elegant.
