Antique Victorian ring or pair of snake rings. 14k gold, sapphire and diamond. Made in Europe, 19th century - circa 1860 - 1880. Unisex - suitable for a man or a woman. Independent appraisal.

Measurements: Weight is 6.9 grams. US size 7 1/2. Sapphire 0.33ct. Diamond 0.12ct.

Description : Very rare snake ring. A pair of snakes twine around one another. One has a diamond set in its head, the other with a sapphire. Combined triple coils are delicate and elegant with very finely engraved and moulded bodies, naturalistically formed.
What makes this ring so unique is that it is actually 2 rings that fit together. Each ring can be worn alone or can be worn on different fingers. Pure magic.
Fabulous look. Beautifully designed and made. An exceptional addition to any collection that can be worn by a man or a woman of any age.

Marks and Metal: Both rings are stamped 585, which we believe is a later mark. It is common in Europe to re-assay antique items in order to ensure metal purity.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
Independent appraisal available to new owner.
