Description : Unisex ring, suitable for a man or a woman. This is a big ring. A large coral cabochon of a bright orange color is the centerpiece of the ring. The coral is adorned with richly scrolling gold foliage and stylised flowers, set with polki diamonds.

Coral is set in a high karat gold mount. Concentric borders spreading outwards - first a plain gold border, followed by a ropetwist and then a wider cylinder of openwork gold foliage. Hidden below the leaves is another fine ropetwist gold border and a closed gold back. The hoop/shank is engraved with concentric scrolls. At the very back, in the old Mughal style of rings, is a raised detail in navette shape.

Impressive and rich, the ring brings Mughal royalty to mind.

Marks and Metal: No marks, as is to be expected. Gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Natural, old coral has small areas of imperfection as is to be expected, visible with a loupe, but not with the naked eye. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
