Description : An exquisitely designed Art Nouveau ring with fabulous, bright gems. Very strong design with long, navette shape to cabochon opal and bordering rubies. Reminiscent of a flower with buds on either side. Opal and rubies set in 18k yellow gold. They are anchored and balanced on the opposite side by an arrangement of swooping, scalloped platinum leaves, set with diamonds. The opal is quite exceptional with a lot of flashing, bright color and the rubies are also exceptionally lovely, being a matching shade of dark pink that glow warmly as the light catches them.

Marks and Metal: Outside of shank has French eagle head hallmark, indicating 18k gold. There is also a lozenge mark, most likely a maker's mark, but it is worn and illegible. Appraisal confirmed gold purity by electronic testing. Inside of shank with 7153 mark.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Opal has typical cracking that does not impinge on its beauty and flashing color. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.

The ring comes with an independent appraisal of the gems. Art Nouveau rings like this one are rare and difficult to find. They are in very high demand thanks to their exquisite design and workmanship, their aesthetic appeal and universal beauty
