Description : Georgian ring, suitable for a man or a woman. Band forking as it nears the shoulders to a semi-circle above which rests a hand, open to hold the bezel. Hands on either side of the bezel form the shoulders. Bezel is typical Georgian - closed gold backs, raised and gently flaring at the sides, with beaded borders enclosing a hardstone cameo intaglio. The intaglio depicts a warrior in a helmet. We believe the cameo is later than the ring. It was common for jewelry to be updated as parts wore or for more trendy fashion.

Marks and Metal: As is to be expected of jewelry of this period, there are no marks on the ring. Gold was acid tested.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
