Antique Victorian ring. 18k yellow gold, diamonds, emeralds and cabochon opal. Made 19th century. <P><P>
Measurements: US size 6. Bezel is approximately 3/4 inch (20mm) long. Weight is 6.3 grams. <P><P>
Description : Classic flower-form ring. The center is a large oval cabochon opal. As the light plays with the gem, blues, greens and purples are the predominant colos with minor tones of orange. It is surrounded by 'petals' of alternating bright green emeralds and diamonds. Bezel closed at the back. Shoulders are fluted bands, tapering away to crimped bands, designed so that the bezel seems to float above the shank.
A beautiful ring that will be an asset to any collection. Highly versatile and wearable. <P><P>
Marks: No hallmarks were found as is typical of jewelry of this period. We acid tested the gold to ensure metal purity. <P><P>
