Antiqiue Victorian Egyptian Revival ring. 18k yellow gold, diamonds, turquoise, enamel and onyx. French, 19th century. Comes in original ring box. <P><P>
Measurements: Bezel is approximately 5/8inches (15mm) front to back. Ring is US size 7.5. Weighs 7 grams. <P><P>
Figural ring in the form of a Pharoah or sphynx. Carved onyx face with a headdress of diamonds and turquoise set in 18k yellow gold. The shoulders of the shank are enamelled in black on 3 sides with pseudo hieroglyphics. <P><P>
Marks: French owl hallmark on the outside of the shank. Metal acid tested to ensure purity. <P><P>
Condition: The ring looks to be in great shape when worn. However, when off the finger, signs of restorations where the bezel and shank join are visible. They do not impinge on the appearance of the ring in any way and are mentioned for the sake of accuracy. Otherwise, no more than wear commensurate with age. The ring comes with its original box. It is a rare form antique ring box, especially shaped to hold a 'taller' ring.
