Antique Ring Gold Diamonds Flowers Fish Pisces India Unisex Man or Woman (5755)

Antique ring. High carat gold and diamonds. Made in India circa 1910-30's.

Measurements: Bezel is 1 inch (2.5cm) long. Weighs 10.1 grams. Diamonds approximately 20-25pts each.

The bezel (top) of the ring consists of an arching row of 3 flowers. Looking carefully, we see that the elements that make up the flowers are typical old Indian with geometric globes of gold, filigree wirework and pulled gold, forming the outer, wavy petals. In the center of each flower is a rose cut diamond. The shank (band) of the ring is no less interesting, consituting a ring of moulded fish with engraved detail. The fish has many symbolic meanings - from freedom to wealth and good luck. The ring looks great on the finger and is suitable for wearing by day/night, with any outfit.

Marks: none, as is to be expected. Acid testing shows gold at least 20k and possibly up to 22k.

Condition: good with minor wear commensurate with age.
