Very large, classic Mughal Indian ring. The seller told me that it was custom made in the 1940's. Large faceted garnet in the center, surrounded by table cut diamonds set in gold. Kundan setting ie Gems are foil-backed and deep set. Rounded mount with very rich enamelling in red, blue and green on a white ground. Classic floral theme and geometric border / edge in blue and white. One tiny loss in the enamel which is very likely original to the manufacture (shown magnified in the 'photos), but otherwise very good condition. Independent appraisal from 2011 available to new owner upon request.
