Description : A charming and very classic looking pendant brooch. A large citrine, pale in color so that it looks like a huge diamond glowing light sunshine-yellow, cushion cut to add to it's lushious appearance and gleam. The citrine is held in a gold colette with little posts alternating with an unadorned line of gold. This in turn surrounded by a lovely cylindrical frame, engraved in a very fine scrolling design, typical of the Georgian period. The rounded back is closed and has a c-clasp pin and loop, so that the jewel can be worn as either a brooch or a pendant. Loop will accommodate quite a large chain.
Close observation shows that the pin is a lower carat replacement.

Marks and Metal: As is to be expected, there are no marks, but gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity.

Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age. As mentioned, the pin was replaced, but it was very well done, clearly long ago. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
