Antique Art Deco necklace Collier Draperie. 18k Gold and enamel. Made in France, very early 20th century (circa 1920's). <P><P>
Measurements: 16 3/4 inches (43cm) long. Weighs 8.5 grams. <P><P>
Description : Exceptional and rare Art Deco collier necklace. Sits near and sets off the collarbone. Consists of marvellous modelled sections of stylised poppy flowers and foliage with scrolling ribbons. Rich gold cleverly contrasted and highlighted with blue and black enamel. Tendrils enamelled in black and center of flowers in blue enamel. The restrained decoration is an indication of the confidence of superior artistry and workmanship.
Alternating with these stations are 4 relatively large navette shaped openwork links with globules of gold in their center. Beyond, the links that complete the necklace are typically French of the early 1900's. <P><P>
Marks: Links alongside clasp are hallmarked including the eagle head for 18k gold. <P><P>
