Antique Victorian child's bangle bracelet. 18k gold and enamel. Made circa 1890's, most likely in the USA.

Measurements: Approximately 2 1/8 inches (5.5cm) in diameter as measured outside; approximately 2 inches (5.2cm) measuring inside diameter. Weighs 7.1 grams. A very approximate measurement of the inner circumference is 6inches (15cm). To my eye, it looks a little smaller.

Description : Solid, rigid bangle with hinge on one side and clasp on the other. The outer surface is textured with little pin-pricks beneath a scrolling band of flowers and foliage in gold outlines and blue and white enamel. Pattern and work goes entirely around the bangle. Tongue and groove clasp is secure and easy to manipulate. This is typical of the beautiful work done in Newark, New Jersey during the last decades of the 19th century. A gold chain adds to security.

Marks: No marks. Gold acid tested as 18k.
