Description : Fabulous novelty pin or brooch in the form of a mouse. Naturalistically modelled, the body is entirely pave set, front and back, with cabochon turquoise. Eyes are small garnets. Tail and legs are gold as are little ears. Beautifully, fine details and beautifully made. We believe the pin is a replacement.
Versatile: the pin can be used on any sort of garment as a fun adornment and it can be used practically to hold your tie, scarf, shawl or cravat in place. Clearly suitable for either a man or a woman. The Victorians had a wonderful sense of fun and made these novelty items that are increasingly rare and sought after. Quality of workmanship is beyond anything produced today.

Marks and Metal: No marks found. Gold was acid tested. It stays lightly for 18k so we are going with 15ct.

Condition: As is natural with old turquoise, some of the stones are greener, while some are still more blue. A few stones with minor chips (highly magnified in pictures). See comment about pin above. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
