Description : Exquisite ring with every Art Deco feature you could ask for: French (says it all), excellent workmanship, fabulous design and fabulous materials. The center is raised above the level of the rest of the ring and composed entirely of a beautiful deep blue natural sapphire. Certified by the AGL. Octagonal in shape, emerald or step cut and very impressive. It is surrounded by a skirt of diamonds in an openwork, very fine design of Old Mine cut and baguette cut diamonds. The baguettes are on each corner and slightly above the level of the sides. The sides are smaller, round diamonds with an openwork 'keyhole' in the center of each. Classic Art Deco design with stepped shoulders, pave set with diamonds, lead to the shank with a simple trough on either side.
Quality of this ring is fantastic in design, workmanship and gems.
Marks and Metal: French hallmarks on the outside of the shank include the dog's head for platinum and the marker's mark lozenge. It appears that the initials in the maker's mark are SD. Inside the shank is numbered 30852.
Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
