More info

Antique Victorian Napoleon III tie or stick pin. 18k yellow gold and natural pearl. Made in France by Paul Briancon, who was

the foreman directing the jewelry workshop of Rene Lalique between 1885 and 1905. The design is called 'Pepite', which means

nugget.

Measurements: weighs 5.2g (without the catch) and is almost 2 3/4 inch long.

As the name suggests, the gentleman's tie pin is made in the form of a gold nugget

Marks: no marks were found which is not typical of French jewelry. Gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity.

Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and feel free to ask questions,

which we will do our best to answer.

Provenance: The item was part of an auction in Paris, in December 2006, which included a number of his pieces. (Catalogue

number can be provided).
