Large Antique Georgian Ring Gold Pink Topaz Natural Pearls c1790 (ID:5511)

Antique Georgian Ring. 18ct yellow gold, natural pink topaz and natural pearls. Made circa 1790, England.

Oval ring with a fantastic pink topaz in the center of a border of small pearls. The topaz is simply cut and faceted - almost flat on the top with bezelled sides. the pearls are set in typical Georgian style: you can see the pulled gold, strongly 'pleated' so that the pleats look almost like claws. Like most Georgian jewellery, the back is fully closed. The shank splits into 3 forks at the shoulders. It is rare to find a Georgian ring of these proportions, so lovely and in such great shape. The simple shank can easily be resized to fit any finger.

Marks: none (as is to be expected).

Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age.
