Antique Late Victorian - Edwardian ring. 18k yellow gold, emerald and diamonds. Made circa 1900, very likely in England.
Measurements: total length of the ring is approx 11.5mm. Emerald approx 7.30 mm long. Emerald .89ct Diamonds .40ct. Weighs 2.4grams. Note: ruler in 'photos is in inches.
The ring has a strong Renaissance Revival feel. A square / emerald cut emerald held by 4 gold prongs with small prong set diamonds at the cardinal points. Very simple, plain gold shank. The emerald is a beautiful shade of green with great life to it. Since it is antique, we believe that it is a natural, unenhanced stone (not filled/treated as is done today). Independent appraisal available to new owner upon request.
