Antique Georgian earrings or ear pendants. 14k gold and small Sicilian pearls. Made circa 1800 - early 19th century. Bridal.
Measurements: Weight is 7.6 grams. Lenght approximately 1 7/8 inch (4.8cm) not including the wires.
Description : long, dangling luxurious. Timeless design with openwork, gold and rounded rows of tiny pearls forming a pear-balloon shape. While these earrings can be worn for many occasions, they are perfectly suitable for a bride.
The wires are long and therefore secure, easy to insert and comfortable to wear. It is unknown whether they are original or relacements (as is the case with most antique jewelry).
Sicily is known for the beautiful local pearl jewelry dating back to the Renaissance.
