Antique Victorian earrings. Pique 14k gold and silver. Made late 19th century. <P><P>
Measurements: Weight is 6.8 grams. Top to botoom, not including loops and fittings is over 1 1/2 inches (over 4cm). <P><P>
Description : Triple hoops - the center, smallest section is a round disc and it has two gradated hoops surrounding it (narrower at the top and wider at the bottom). Each section is attached via little gold-wire loops that allow it to swing and sway freely and independently of the other sections of the earrings. Hoops might swing at opposing angles, adding to interest. Furthermore, the gold and silver inlaid decoration (pique) in the form of flowers and foliage. Background of a lovely mottled range of colors from near transparent to near opaque. The wires are replacements, made to allow ease of insertion and comfort of wear. <P><P>
Marks and Metal: No marks, as is to be expected. <P><P>
