Description : Stunning looking set from the late Georgian era when gold was scarce and a little gold was made to go a long way. Cannetille jewelry is composed of filigree twisting gold wire and golden globes, forming an exquisite lacework of pyramidal and flower forms. Scrolling gold is quite 3-dimentional. Elongated pear-shaped earrings and diamond-shaped brooch. Each beautifully made jewel is set with pink-foiled rock crystal. Brooch-pendant with c-clasp to catch the pin and a loop that will accommodate a fairly large chain. Earrings have long wires, which are easy to insert and comfortable to wear. Like most earrings from this era, it is possible that the wires are replacements.

Exquisite workmanship and as wearable today as they were 200 years ago.

Marks and Metal: No marks as to be expected of jewelry from this era. Gold was acid-tested to ensure metal purity.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
