Vintage Earrings 20k Gold, South Sea Pearls, Diamonds, Enamel India (6810)

Vintage dangle earrings. 20k gold, South Sea Pearls, diamonds and enamel. Made in India, circa 1950-60's.   <P><P>
Measurements: Weight is 13.4 grams. Length approximately 1 1/2 inches (3.6cm). Pearls approximately 12mm in diameter. <P><P>
Description : Elegant long drop earrings. Surmounts consist of an upper inverse tear-shaped cell and a lower hexagonal cell of gold, enclosing polki diamonds (diamonds cut flat with simple facets). Gold in ridged, layers, one within the other. A pair of gold rings attach a calyx like mount, set with another polki diamond in a gold cell and holding a pearl drop. Slight golden color to pearls. <P><P>
The backs of the surmounts are enamelled in white and red. The wires are almost certainly replacements. <P><P> Extremely elegant looking earrings. Versatile - can be worn with jeans or to the opera.  Would also be an excellent choice as bridal earrings.  A great addition to any wardrobe or jewelry collection.  <P><P>
Marks and Metal: No marks. Gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity.    <P><P>
Condition: Wear commensurate with age. One pearl has a pin-prick sized 'hole', original to the natural creation of the pearl. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
