Antique Victorian earrings / ear pendants. 15ct Gold, turquoise and pearls. Made circa 1860-80 and believed to be English.

Measurements: Weight is 4.2 grams. Length excluding wires is 1 3/8 inches (a little over 3.5cm).

Description : Scrolling diamond shape. Unusual upper and lower sections with hinges which could be reversible. While edges curl and swirl, the upper surface is engraved with fine detail. In the center is a cabochon, collette-set turquoise surrounded at the cardinal points by pearls, which are almost certainly natural pearls (there were no cultured pearls at that time). Beautiful color combination and very pleasing shape, makes these earrings very versatile. THey will suit anyone and any occasion. Best of all, they are easy to insert and comfortable to wear. A fine addition to any collection.

Marks and Metal: As is to be expected, there are no marks on the gold. We acid tested to ensure metal purity. Gold stays clearly for 14k and since they are probably English, the metal purity is likely 15ct.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
