Antique Victorian earrings / cross ear pendants. 14k yellow gold, pearls and garnets. Made in England circa 1860.
Measurements: Approximately 1 1/4 inches (30mm) long not including the wires. Weigh 4.0 grams.
Description: Renaissance Revival look with the deep red garnets and pearls set in gold mounts crimped around the gems. Simple wires make inserting earrings easy and comfortable to wear. Upper oval surmounts of garnets joined via links to elongated cross shape. The links allow the pendant drops to swing and sway as the wearer moves and add interest as the movement draws the eye. Lovely balance of the white pearls and red pear-shapes in their centers. Closed backs. Beautifully made and highly attractive and wearable.
Marks: No marks found, but gold was acid tested to ensure purity.
Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
