Measurements: A little over 3 1/8 inches (8cm) long. Weighs 16.7 grams. Total diamond weight approx 2.15ct. Mabe pearl 8.25mm. Ruby is 1.0mm.

Brooch in the form of a peacock or other exotic bird perching on a golden bar. The back of the brooch / pin is in gold and the diamonds are set in silver to show them off to better effect. Yellow gold details contrast with the silver - in the settings and the plumage and branch. Very well pave set diamonds and larger diamonds in collete settings. A large mabe pearl in the center of the bird's body, a ruby forms, the eye. Well made with a great look.

Because of it's large size, there are two pins to secure the brooch and stabilise it. Original clasps in good working order.

No hallmarks, but metal was tested. Someone has, long ago engraved 100 and 750 on the side of the brooch (see 'photos).

Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age.

This brooch was independantly appraised for $5750.- Appraisal available to new owner upon request.
