Antique French bronze box with handpainted enamel miniature portrait on porcelain.

Measures 3 1/4 X 2 1/4inches.

Canted corners.

Sides with delicate, gilded raised scrolling design.

Top has applied fleur de lis scrolling leaves and flowers.

The center of the lid has a pink medallion with a wonderful grisaille handpainted portrait of a Classic Greek or Roman emperor wearing a laurel crown and military epaulettes on his shoulder.

Hinges firm.

Inside been re-lined in pink silk.

Box closes tightly.

No damage of any sort.
