Antique Victorian brooch. 14k gold, platinum and diamonds. Dog breed could be a Retriever, Pointer or Spaniel. Made last quarter of the 19th century.
Measurements: Approximately 1 7/8inches (47mm) long; weighs 4.9grams. Dog alone measures 7/8inch (2cm).
Bar and clasp made of 14k yellow gold. Diamonds set in platinum. Diamonds mostly rose cut. The brooch is in the form of a dog. He walks towards the left, feathery tail outstretched to the right. Beautifully set with good quality diamonds (approximately G in color). Good modelling, realistic and attractive. C-clasp.
Marks:none. I have checked the metals with acid: the yellow gold is 14k and the white metal is platinum. The appraisal is incorrect - there is no mark and it is platinum and not white gold.

Condition: good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask
questions - we will do our best to answer.
