Vintage / estate ring. 18k yellow gold, diamonds and rock crystal. Made in France, by Cartier circa 1980's. Called Myst de Cartier.
Measurements: Approx US size 6. Weighs 9.7grams. Size 52. The closed crystal dome prevent accurate assesment of carat weight of diamonds. They are E-F in color.
Modern, bold design. The rounded gold shank transitions, uninterrupted, to form the shoulders and support, including closed back of this remarkable ring. Gold encloses a high dome made of rock crystal rising above the gold oval-shaped cup. The bed of the crystal dome is a triple row of brilliant-cut diamonds, closely fitted in gold prongs. Appears like sea anemones or flowers, which seemingly enlarge or disappear as the wearer moves and light catches them at different angles through the crystal dome.
Marks: the ring is fully hallmarked: Cartier 750 52 and has engraved serial number 919113 are inside the shank. Outside the shank are the makers mark in a lozenge and French 18k gold eagle mark.
Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. the identical ring sold Sothebys London April 2013 GBP4750.- and one is offered online for $25900.00
